Job summary

Tufts Medical Center in Boston seeks a skilled ultrasound technologist specialized in cardiac imaging. You will perform comprehensive echocardiography using m-mode, 2-D, 3-D and Doppler techniques, provide preliminary interpretations to cardiologists, and support various clinical units as needed.

Requirements include an Associate degree in Radiology or related field, ARDMS/CCI certification, and BLS. A Bachelor's in Radiologic Science and two years of experience are preferred, with a generous

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Radiology or related field.
• Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (ARDMS) or Registered Cardiac Sonographer (CCI).
• Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) required.
• Bachelor's degree in Radiologic Science preferred.
• Two years of clinical experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs cardiac ultrasound examinations using m-mode, 2-D, 3-D and Doppler techniques.
• Gives preliminary interpretation of study results to cardiologist.
• Operates in echocardiography labs and various clinical settings as needed.
• Maintains equipment and infection control practices.
• Assists in training new sonographers and interns.
