Job summary

Olathe Health seeks an RN Unit Coordinator for Cardiac Telemetry (Days) at Olathe Hospital. This role provides charge nurse duties, staffing to matrix, and supervision to ensure patient and staff needs are met. Works with Nurse Manager and HR on performance and discipline, mentoring staff for clinical excellence and satisfaction.

Requirements include a BSN and High School diploma; ADN hires must enroll in BSN within 6 months and complete it by the third anniversary. BLS certification is required.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate
• Bachelor Degree Nursing (BSN)
• BSN required upon hire for Southwest KC Market Locations; ADN hires before 11/01/2025 must enroll in BSN within 6 months and complete by third anniversary of hire date.

Responsibilities

• Provide charge nurse responsibilities including assignments and throughput management.
• Manage a patient care assignment based on patient care needs.
• Assist with hiring, education and performance evaluation of staff.
• Collaborate with Nurse Manager and HR on counseling and discipline.
• Instruct staff and ensure standards via daily monitoring and performance management.
• Act as a role model and mentor for clinical practice and satisfaction.
• Ensure productivity targets and budget compliance; drive unit performance improvement.
