Job summary

Olathe Health’s RN - Renal/Tele - FT - nights at Olathe Hospital seeks a compassionate registered nurse to coordinate care using the nursing process and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team.

The role emphasizes safe, holistic patient care, leadership in decision-making, and commitment to professional development within Kansas Nurse Practice Act.

You will provide direct nursing care, triage, educate patients and families, and participate in ongoing learning and unit-specific trainings.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Associate Degree in Nursing.
• Licensed Registered Nurse (RN) in Kansas or compact license.
• CPR/AED/BLS certification.
• Some units may require additional unit-specific affirmations/certifications/work experience.

Responsibilities

• Adheres to hospital policies related to medication safety, including order writing format, correct administration considerations, double checks and other established policies and practices.
• Answers patient/significant others phone calls, evaluate patient's needs, and triage patient care.
• Provides direct nursing care for oncology-related treatments and supportive care as prescribed.
• Coordinates health care services with hospital, vendors, physician offices and other institutions; delegates appropriately and leads team.
• Maintains a safe environment for patients and demonstrates leadership in nursing practice.
