The candidate should have a high school diploma or GED, completion of a cardiovascular/telemetry course, and strong ability to read heart rhythms. Per diem evening shifts are available, with BLS certification required.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED required.
• Completion of cardiovascular technology or telemetry/monitor technician course.
• Ability to examine heartbeat patterns in real time and ensure monitors function correctly.
• At least one year telemetry/monitoring experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Promotes patient- and family-centered care and a compassionate environment.
• Communicates rhythm changes and treatments to RN/physicians.
• Records vital signs and glucose results accurately.
• Prepares patients for monitoring and places electrodes correctly.
• Maintains telemetry equipment and inventory; restocks supplies as needed.
• Monitors and reports patient status every two hours and PRN.
