Job summary

Providence St. Mary Medical Center in Apple Valley, CA, is seeking a Telemetry Technician to monitor patient rhythms on the North Telemetry unit. This full-time role involves 12-hour day shifts and responsibilities for continuous observation of the Central Monitoring system.

You will perform basic clerical tasks and be enrolled in orientation with ongoing competency assessments. Required qualifications include Dysrhythmia Recognition, Basic Arrhythmia training or rhythm interpretation

Qualifications

• Completion of Dysrhythmia Recognition Course.
• Either completed Basic Arrhythmia course or demonstrated rhythm interpretation experience.
• Must pass ECG test prior to job offer.
• Will be enrolled in an internally-developed online orientation course.
• Periodic competency assessments will be conducted.
• Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Perform cardiac telemetry monitoring and arrhythmia detection via continuous observation of the Central Monitoring System.
• Perform department clerical duties as a collateral responsibility.
