Job summary

Providence Health & Services at St. Mary Medical Center-Apple Valley is seeking a Telemetry Monitoring Technician to perform continuous observation of the Central Monitoring system and detect arrhythmias, while also carrying out routine clerical duties for the department.

The ideal candidate has completed the Dysrhythmia Recognition Course and either the Basic Arrhythmia course or demonstrable rhythm interpretation experience, and will complete ECG testing prior to offer.

Qualifications

• ECG test required prior to offer.
• Orientation online course as part of onboarding.
• Periodic competency assessments during employment.
• BLS certification upon hire (American Heart Association).
• Successful completion of Dysrhythmia Recognition Course and either Basic Arrhythmia or rhythm interpretation experience.

Responsibilities

• Performs cardiac telemetry monitoring and arrhythmia detection via Central Monitoring system as primary duty; handles department clerical tasks as collateral duty.
