Job summary

Community Health Systems presents a Cardiac Registered Nurse opening at Gadsden Regional Medical Center. The RN provides patient-centered cardiac care, coordinates care plans, monitors patients on telemetry, and collaborates with the care team to achieve optimal outcomes.

Qualifications

• 0–2 years of clinical nursing experience or student rotations in acute care.
• Current RN license in good standing (state licensure or compact).
• BCLS required; ACLS/PALS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and deliver patient-centered care per nursing process and policies.
• Assess patients thoroughly, document findings, and report changes promptly.
• Administer medications and monitor for adverse effects.
• Assist physicians during procedures within competency limits.
• Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans.
• Respond to emergencies and participate in life-saving interventions.
• Educate patients and families on conditions, treatment, and discharge care.
