Job summary

Texas Health Resources is hiring a Registered Nurse for the PCCU Surgical Telemetry unit at Dallas. This full-time day shift role supports a 35-bed high-acuity telemetry unit with 4:1-5:1 nurse-to-patient ratios, flexible self-scheduling, and a focus on cardiovascular and thoracic care.

The RN role requires state licensure, an accredited nursing degree, and ongoing certifications (BCLS/ACLS/CPI). Preference for BSN with relevant certifications.

Qualifications

• Nursing Diploma or Associate degree in nursing required.
• Bachelor's degree in nursing preferred.
• 1 year RN experience or completion of an RN residency required.
• RN license required at hire.
• BCLS certification prior to providing independent patient care.
• ACLS certification within 90 days of hire.
• CPI training maintained annually.
• BCMSN/CRRN/PCCN pref or other certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess the patient.
• Plan the care of the patient.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of interventions.
• Incorporate age-specific safety and infection control into care.
• Initiate information for patients and families as needed.
• Maintain continuity of patient care across shifts and facilities.
• Deliver care using the Nursing Process.
