Job summary

Texas Health Resources is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Cardiac Tele PCU at Texas Health Dallas. You will deliver care using the Nursing Process, assess patients, and plan and evaluate care across shifts while maintaining safety and infection control.

Responsibilities include coordinating inter-hospital transfers, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams, and supporting post-interventional cardiac patients (AMI, HF, arrhythmias).

Qualifications

• Diploma Nurse required or Associate degree from an accredited Nursing program required.
• BSN preferred.
• One-year experience as a clinical nurse, or completion of an RN residency program.
• PCU, Step-down Intermediate, Cardiac Tele highly preferred.
• RN must practice within the regulations of the Texas Nurse Practice Act, serve as a role model, intra/interdisciplinary collaborator, and coordinator for quality patient care.

Responsibilities

• Delivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process.
• Assesses the patient.
• Plans the care of the patient.
• Evaluates the effectiveness of interventions.
• Incorporates age specific safety/infection control measures into patient care.
• Initiates action to meet patient and/or significant others need for information.
• Maintains continuity of patient care inter-shift, inter-hospital, and while expediting out of hospital transfers.
