Job summary

Abbott Northwestern Hospital is seeking a registered nurse for the Cardiac Unit in Minneapolis. This 0.9 FTE position involves 12-hour day/night shifts on a CV Telemetry unit, with a focus on caring for post-open heart and cardiac patients.

The role offers weekend rotation every third weekend and opportunities for leadership as needed. Required qualifications include an RN license and 1–2 years of RN experience; cardiology/telemetry or CCU exposure is preferred.

Qualifications

• Must hold RN license for MN (and WI if applicable) at hire.
• 1–2 years RN experience required.
• Cardiac/telemetry/critical care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive assessments and care planning for CV telemetry patients.
• Coordinate care with families and multi-disciplinary team.
• Maintain competency in evidence-based nursing practices and regulatory standards.
• Act as Charge Nurse or Preceptor when assigned, coordinating unit operations.
