Job summary

Grandview Medical Center in Birmingham, AL seeks a Registered Nurse (RN) for the 7 Cardiac unit. This full-time night role (7pm–7am) offers a sign-on bonus and a strong benefits package, including loan support. You will provide patient-centered care, coordinate with the care team, and use telemetry to monitor cardiac patients.

The RN will perform assessments, administer meds, participate in life-saving interventions, and educate patients and families while upholding safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• RN licensed in Alabama or Compact State licensure.
• BCLS certification required.
• ACLS and PALS preferred.
• 0–2 years of clinical nursing experience or student rotations.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient-centered care using the nursing process, assessment, planning, and evaluation.
• Administer medications, monitor effects, and document per policy.
• Coordinate with physicians and staff to implement care plans.
• Respond to emergencies and participate in CPR/code team activities.
• Educate patients and families on conditions, plans, and discharge care.
• Maintain infection control and safety protocols in daily rounds.
