Job summary

The Registered Nurse (RN) on the cardiac telemetry floor provides safe, patient-centered care using the nursing process and collaborates with interdisciplinary teams. The unit handles post‑operative CABG, TAVR, Watchman and related post-cath lab patients, with a 6:1 patient ratio and care tailored to cardiac needs.

Qualifications

• Education: Graduated from a school of nursing (Associate's Degree, Diploma, or BSN).
• Licensure: Active RN license in the hiring state and/or compact licensure.
• Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) required; ACLS/NRP/ENPC/TNCC/CPHON/OCN/PALS/PEARS/S.T.A.B.L.E./C-EFM or other certifications may be required.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process to provide safe, effective, patient-centered care.
• Evaluates the care provided by other direct caregivers and coordinates patient care with interdisciplinary teams.
• Upholds patient rights and maintains confidentiality in alignment with Mercy's mission and standards.
