Qualifications

• Registered nurse with licensure to practice in the state; BLS required.
• BSN preferred; graduate of a Board of Nursing approved program.
• Typically 1 year of clinical nursing experience.

Responsibilities

• Engages in unit councils, governance, and quality initiatives to improve care practices.
• Uses the nursing process to assess, plan, diagnose, implement, and evaluate care; engages patients and families.
• Monitors patient conditions, adjusts care plans, mobilizes resources, collaborates with the care team.
• Upholds and promotes a culture of safety.
• Performs accurate EHR documentation and may float to other units as needed.
• Delivers care following ANA Code of Ethics and ethical decision-making processes.
• Delegates appropriately to RNs, LPNs, and assistive personnel.
• Pursues professional development and maintains required certifications.
