Job summary

Sentara Virginia Beach General Hospital is hiring a Patient Care Technician for Cardiac Unit 2 West on the night shift. The role is full-time, with work hours roughly 6:45pm to 7:15am, and involves providing patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse.

The unit handles telemetry patients with various cardiac conditions. Education requires a high school diploma and BLS; multiple CNA/NCMA/NCPCT-type credentials are acceptable.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent; BLS certification required within 90 days of hire.
• CNA/NCMA/NCPCT or equivalent certification/licensure required or preferred as part of minimum requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care under the direct supervision of a professional nurse.
• Support admissions and discharge processes and ensure patient safety.
• Observe patients' physical, mental, and emotional conditions and report changes to the nurse.
