Job summary

Northwestern Medicine is seeking a Nursing Manager of Operations for the Cardiac Telemetry Unit. The role leads day-to-day unit operations, staffing, budgeting, and regulatory compliance, driving patient care quality and service excellence.

The position requires at least a Bachelor's in nursing with a Master's and 3+ years of nursing/healthcare leadership, plus BLS and Illinois license. Magnet certification preferred; 40 hours weekly full-time in Illinois.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in nursing with master's degree or actively enrolled in a master's program.
Three years of nursing or health care experience with increasing responsibilities.
Basic life support (BLS) certification.
Current clinical license in the state of practice (Illinois).
Magnet-recognized certification for the specialty area.
Minimum of 3 years supervisory or management experience.

Responsibilities

Manage day-to-day operations of designated departments with staffing and budget oversight.
Provide guidance and supervision to team; conduct performance reviews.
Develop, monitor budgets and ensure compliance with Joint Commission standards.
Address escalations and coordinate patient care resources.
Lead quality improvement and coordinate with NM system partners.
Ensure policies meet federal, state, and regulatory standards.
