Job summary

Sentara Virginia Beach General Hospital is seeking an experienced RN Manager to lead Nursing and Patient Care Services for the Cardiac Medicine Telemetry Unit. This full-time role requires day shifts with on-call and weekend coverage as needed, overseeing 60+ FTEs in a fast-paced environment.

You'll supervise Patient Care Supervisors, ensure safety and quality standards, and drive patient-centered care across the unit while partnering with physicians and leadership to improve outcomes.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Virginia or compact state.
• BLS certification required (AHA)
• Experience leading nursing teams and managing units
• Cardiac/Telemetry experience preferred

About the Role

As the Manager of Nursing and Patient Care Services, you'll be responsible for ensuring the smooth, effective, and compassionate delivery of care within your designated clinical areas. You'll lead by example-modeling best practices, promoting collaboration, and driving performance aligned with Sentara's mission of safety, quality, and patient-centered service.

You would be responsible for Patient Care Supervisors, 24/7 Cardiac Medicine Telemetry Unit, covering about 60+ FTEs.

What You’ll Need to Succeed

Certification Required:

• RN-Virginia or Compact Multi-State License in good standing
• Basic Life Support (BLS) - Certification - American Heart Association (AHA) RQI

Education Required:

• Bachelor's Level Degree in Nursing

Experience Required:

• 1 year Management
• 3 years Nursing

Experience Preferred:

• Cardiac
• Acute Care
• Management in Healthcare Environment
