Job summary

St. Elizabeth Physicians seeks a Telemetry Technician to monitor ECG rhythms and detect rhythm changes from a centralized unit. You will escalate as per established processes, ensuring accurate documentation in EPIC and maintaining alarms.

The role requires 1 year of applicable experience, high school diploma or GED, and completion of SEH/SEP ECG class with yearly exams. Shifts are 7AM-7PM, 36 hours per week, with benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED is required.
• Complete SEH/SEP ECG class and pass exam yearly minimum score of 85% and 100% on lethal arrhythmias.

Responsibilities

• Monitor telemetry and interpret ECG rhythms; escalate rhythm changes per procedure.
• Accurately document in the Electronic Health Record (EPIC).
• Communicate effectively with patients, providers, and staff.
• Assist in protocol development and quality initiatives.
• Process admissions, transfers, and discharges appropriately.
• Assist in orientation of new telemetry staff.
• Knowledge of EPIC is preferred.
