Job summary

STHS McAllen is seeking a Monitor Technician to oversee cardiac telemetry from a centralized unit. You will monitor patient readings continuously and respond per protocol, with on-call responsibilities and weekend coverage as required.

Required qualifications include a High School diploma or GED, completion of a dysrhythmia course before orientation, and current BLS certification; prior healthcare experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma, GED or Higher Education required.
• Must demonstrate commitment to compliance and required trainings.
• Complete dysrhythmia course prior to orientation.
• Current BLS certification as per AHA Healthcare Provider Program.

Responsibilities

• Monitor patients’ cardiac telemetry readings from a centralized location.
• Maintain performance skills and adhere to unit protocols.
• Work every other weekend, holidays, overtime, and/or on-call/call-back status.
