Qualifications

• Current BLS certification.
• EKG certification or completion of a hospital program or demonstrated proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and interpret basic and advanced cardiac rhythms.
• Maintain and troubleshoot the cardiac monitoring system.
• Notify nursing staff and Biomedical Engineering of significant changes or system issues.
• Document rhythm strips and patient data accurately in medical records.
• Prepare and hand off detailed shift reports to oncoming staff.
