Under supervision, you will run rhythm strips, document changes, respond to alarms, and assist staff while maintaining a quiet healing environment and accurate records. Qualifed candidates have a high school diploma, EKG course, current BLS, and at least 1 year of experience.

Qualifikationen

High School diploma or GED required.
Successful completion of an EKG course and exam.
Current BLS required on all nursing units; BLS/BCLS by AHA or Red Cross.
Critical thinking, service excellence and good interpersonal communication skills.
BCLS instructor must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
1 year of experience.

Aufgaben

Run, document and analyze rhythm strips according to unit standards.
Document rhythm changes and notify RN/Charge RN/LPN; ensure hand-off at shift changes.
Respond to monitor alarms and inform RN/Charge RN/LPN of changes.
Troubleshoot monitoring equipment and notify biomedical engineering of issues.
Support a culture of patient-centered care with a quiet healing environment.
