Responsibilities

• Adheres to policies, safety plans, and regulatory standards.
• Completes competency checks for monitor technician duties.
• Documents and interprets patient heart rhythm and rate via telemetry.
• Ensures patient safety by reporting risk factors and following safety procedures.
• Communicates routine information clearly with the care team.
• Identifies rhythm abnormalities and notifies the assigned nurse promptly.
• Obtains and provides strips for evaluation by the charge nurse.
• Plans and organizes work to ensure quality patient care.
