Job summary

Capital Health is seeking a Telemetry Monitor Technician to support continuous cardiac monitoring in a high-acuity environment. The role emphasizes accurate electrode placement, rhythm analysis, and prompt communication with nursing staff to ensure patient safety.

The successful candidate will have a high school diploma and obtain CRAT or CET within 18 months, with prior monitor clerk experience and BLS certification preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalency; CRAT or CET within 18 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Places patients on telemetry with proper skin prep and electrode placement; reports loss of clear telemetry signal.
• Maintains rhythm strips and logs; reconciles identifiers and transmitter numbers; troubleshoots equipment.
• Admits and discharges patients from telemetry; monitors patients off unit for testing; coordinates with other departments.
