Qualifications

• Education and formal training: high school graduate or equivalent.
• Current licensure in North Carolina as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Compact state licensure.
• New Graduate Nurses are accepted.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care under supervision of a Registered Nurse.
• Participate in assessment and planning of patient care.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams on patient plans of care.
• Follow care plans and adjust care per age-specific needs.
• Maintain accurate patient care records.
• Administer medications as ordered and ensure a safe environment.
• Recognize life-threatening situations and respond appropriately.
• Participate in performance improvement activities and quality monitoring.
• Engage in cost containment and accurate charging for services.
• Support patient satisfaction and throughput goals.
