Job summary

University of Maryland Upper Chesapeake Health is seeking a Patient Care Technician (Cardiac Telemetry) for part-time night shifts (7pm–7:30am). Under supervision, you will provide direct patient care, take vital signs, and assist with activities of daily living.

Required Maryland CNA or GNA certification and current BLS. You will perform blood draws, collect specimens, monitor patient status, document data, maintain safety, and collaborate with the care team to promote healing and comfort.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Maryland CNA or GNA certification.
• Current BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care under nursing supervision.
• Takes vital signs and documents patient data.
• Records patient care activities including ADLs and measurements.
• Assists in admission, transfer and discharge processes.
• Participates in patient safety and comfort measures.
• Performs wound care, specimen collection, and blood draws as assigned.
• Collaborates with the health care team to carry out the plan of care.
