Job summary

University of Maryland Charles Regional Medical Center in La Plata, MD is seeking a full-time Night Shift Patient Care Technician I (CNA) to join our telemetry and medical-surgical teams. You will work 3 x 12-hour shifts, 7:00 p.m.

to 7:30 a.m., every other weekend with rotating holidays. Under RN supervision, you will assist with daily living activities, monitor vital signs, perform EKGs, support mobility, and document patient condition changes.

Qualifications

• Active Maryland CNA license in good standing (MBON).
• AHA BLS certification required.
• Minimum 1 year of hospital or clinical experience.
• Excellent communication, organization and teamwork skills.
• Bilingual candidates encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Assist nursing staff with direct patient care activities, including monitoring vital signs and assisting with mobility.
• Collaborate with nurses and care team to implement patient care plans and ensure continuity of care.
• Document patient information accurately and report changes to nursing staff.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized patient care environment compliant with regulations.
• Support clinical coordinators in coordinating patient care and workflow within the unit.
• Participate in training to enhance clinical skills.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Join the University of Maryland Charles Regional Medical Center's 3 South Telemetry Unit as a Patient Care Technician I (CNA)! We are seeking a Full-Time Night Shift Patient Care Technician I (CNA) who is passionate about patient care and ready to be part of a supportive, team-focused environment. Working alongside our nursing team, you will provide hands-on care to telemetry and medical-surgical patients, including assisting with daily living activities, obtaining vital signs, performing EKGs, supporting safe mobility, and communicating changes in patient condition. SCHEDULE

3 x 12-Hour Shifts | 7:00 p.m. to 7:30 a.m. Every Other Weekend & Rotating Holidays Required | Active Maryland CNA License Required

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized patient care environment in compliance with healthcare regulations and standards.
• Support clinical coordinators in coordinating patient care activities and managing workflow within the unit.
• Participate in training and development programs to enhance clinical skills and knowledge.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Licensure & Experience

• Valid license as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), in good standing with the Maryland Board of Nursing (MBON), required.
• Valid American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Minimum of one (1) year of experience in a hospital or comparable clinical setting, required.
• Strong communication, organization, and teamwork skills required.
• Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply.

Compensation

• Pay Range: $17.68 - $24.76 per hour.
