Job summary

Providence Portland Medical Center is seeking a CNA to provide direct patient care under RN supervision, assisting with admissions, discharges, transfers, and measurement of vital signs and weights. The role supports performance of fingerstick tests and patient mobility using safe handling devices.

This 0.9 FTE day shift offers three 12-hour shifts with alternating weekends and a holiday schedule, along with opportunities for continuing education and professional development.

Qualifications

• Oregon Nursing Assistant Certification required at hire.
• BLS - American Heart Association certification required at hire.
• Experience in hospital or long‑term care setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to a high functioning team.
• Assist RN with admissions, discharges, and transfers.
• Measure and record vital signs, output, and weights.
• Collect specimens and perform fingerstick capillary blood tests.
• Assist with client mobility and transfers, using lifts and safe patient handling devices.
• Opportunities for continuing education and professional development, including annual CNA conference.
• Other duties as assigned
