Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health in Beverly offers a part-time Patient Care Technician - Cardiac Telemetry position (24 hours/week) on the Evening shift, every other weekend, with rotating holidays. Under RN supervision, you provide basic patient care, comfort and safety, assisting with daily activities.

You will perform technical tasks, documentation and bedside care as part of a multi-skilled team. Requirements include a High School Diploma or equivalent, ability to read/write and perform basic math,

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to read/write and perform basic 4 function math.
• Desire to help people and/or aspire to healthcare professional.
• Basic computer skills (preferred).
• Medical terminology (preferred).
• BLS certification (required within 90 days of hire).

Responsibilities

• Vital Signs
• Height and Weight
• Oxygen Saturation
• Reporting all unusual observations to the nurse
• Collecting various specimens for analysis
• Recording and measuring intake and output
• Providing patient with personal care and assisting with daily activities
• Performing basic clinical procedures independently or under the supervision of the RN
• Provide nutritional needs including assisting and ordering room service, setting up meal trays and feeding
