Job summary

Baptist Health Medical Group is seeking a Patient Care Tech for Cardiac Surgery in New Albany, IN. This full-time role supports patient flow, rooming, vital signs, and documentation under physician supervision.

The PCT will ensure accurate medical records, facilitate tests and appointments, and communicate with pharmacies, insurers, patients, and physicians in a respectful manner in line with Baptist Health values.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Basic computer skills, especially with confidential databases.
• Basic Life Support or equivalent training.

Responsibilities

• Manages the coordination and flow of patients to create an exceptional patient experience.
• Proactively check the provider’s schedule and review patient records to ensure information is ready for visits.
• Proactively obtain any missing information from the patient to keep medical records accurate and up to date.
• Capture patient vital signs, medical history, medications, and preferred pharmacy information at arrival.
• Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations including HIPAA/OSHA.
