Job summary

The General Hospital Corporation is seeking a per diem Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join the Cardiac Surgery team at 100 Blossom Street. You will participate in developing and implementing care plans, coordinate pre- and post-operative care, and communicate with surgeons, intensivists, and nursing staff to ensure seamless patient care.

The ideal candidate has at least one year of APP experience, MA licensure (NP/PA) and a Master’s degree in Nursing or Physician Assistant Studies.

Qualifications

• One year of APP experience is required.
• Master's Degree in Nursing or Physician Assistant Studies is required.
• National certification in acute care APP or PA practice is required.
• MA licensure as PA or NP is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care, counseling, and education to patients in ambulatory, inpatient, operative, and procedural settings.
• Perform complete histories and physical examinations and order/interpret diagnostic tests.
• Develop and implement care plans, coordinate tests and consultations, and ensure timely documentation and discharge planning.
