Job summary

St. Elizabeth Healthcare is seeking a Certified/Registered Medical Assistant for the Cardiac Surgery Clinic in Edgewood, KY. This full-time role (40 hours/week) on the 1st shift supports providers with clinical tasks, patient flow, and accurate data entry.

A strong emphasis is placed on HIPAA, OSHA, and CLIA compliance. The position requires MA certification or credential, BLS within orientation, and excellent patient communication.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• CMA or credential valid in the state where work is performed.
• BLS certification must be obtained during orientation.

Responsibilities

• Register patients and coordinate scheduling.
• Assist with patient billing and pre-certification processes.
• Retrieve, release or collect medical records as needed.
• Enter data accurately and support patient flow in the clinic.
• Maintain HIPAA/OSHA/CLIA compliance and confidentiality.
• Provide professional patient-facing service and support.
