Job summary

The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider to deliver health care services in collaboration with a licensed physician. Appointments include care during acute and chronic illness, education, health promotion, and referrals when appropriate.

Focus areas include preventive health, and management of acute or stable chronic conditions, with shifts rotating between 6am-6pm and 6pm-6am.

Qualifications

• Must hold a current APRN license in Ohio.
• Graduate of an NP program eligible to sit for national certification recognized by Ohio Board of Nursing.
• Master of Science in Nursing required.
• 0 years of relevant experience required.
• Acute Care NP strongly preferred.
• 0-2 years ICU or cardiac surgery experience preferred.
• For PA-C track: graduate of a PA-C program eligible for NCCPA certification.
• Eligibility for Ohio licensure as PA-C.
• 0 years of relevant experience required.
• 0-2 years ICU or cardiac surgery experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide health care services within a standard care or supervisory agreement with a physician member of OSU Wexner Medical Center.
• Collaborate with physicians and other clinicians to deliver full scope patient care.
• Care for patients during acute and chronic illness, including education and counseling.
• Refer to other providers and community resources when appropriate.
