Allina Health is seeking a Physician Assistant to join the Cardiac Surgery team in Minnesota. The role involves working in inpatient and outpatient settings with an attending physician to diagnose, treat, and manage patient care.

You will educate patients, coordinate with specialists, and participate in on-call rotations for emergencies. Minimum qualifications include a Master's in PA studies and MN PA licensure, with ACLS/BLS, NCCPA, and DEA licenses.

Qualifications

• Master's degree and PA program completion required.
• MN PA license required at hire.
• ACLS/BLS Tier 2 certification within 180 days of hire.
• NCCPA certification required at hire.
• DEA license required at hire.

Responsibilities

• Provides clinical care for patients as part of a Physician/Physician Assistant team.
• Completes comprehensive patient assessments and determines diagnoses.
• Orders and interprets diagnostics with attending physician.
• Prescribes medications, treatments, and medical equipment.
• Educates patients to manage chronic illness or wellness care.
• Refers to specialty care when needed and collaborates with hospital staff.
