Job summary

vTech Solution is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Stepdown Cardiac unit in Washington, DC. The role provides specialized nursing care for cardiac patients, manages telemetry, administers treatments, and collaborates with the interdisciplinary team to ensure quality outcomes in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements include an active RN license with 2–3 years telemetry/surgical telemetry experience, ACLS/BLS/NIHSS, Epic EHR proficiency, and strong IV and post-operative cardiac care skills.

Qualifications

• Active RN license with 2–3 years telemetry and surgical telemetry experience.
• ACLS and BLS certifications.
• NIHSS certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled nursing care to cardiac PCU patients including MI, arrhythmias, vascular surgery, and post-open heart surgery.
• Perform telemetry monitoring and interpret dysrhythmias for timely intervention.
• Administer medications and blood products; manage advanced cardiac treatments.
• Manage cardiac devices and specialized equipment (LVAD, chest tubes, CPAP/BiPAP).
• Maintain accurate Epic documentation and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams.
