Job summary

The Cleveland Clinic Health System's Heart, Vascular & Thoracic Institute seeks a Patient Care Nurse Assistant for the Cardiovascular Stepdown unit. You will provide compassionate, hands-on patient care under an RN, on a 25-bed unit serving cardiac patients.

This day shift (7:00am–7:30pm) includes weekend/holiday rotations. The role emphasizes teamwork, safety, and patient-centered care; BLS certification is required or obtained during onboarding, and prior hospital aide experience is valued.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• BLS certification through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross; if not held, it must be obtained during onboarding.

Responsibilities

• Provide or assist with patient care under the supervision of an RN; tasks include vital signs, mobility, personal care, and monitoring.
• Report abnormal findings to an RN and document changes in patient condition.
• Maintain cleanliness and order in patients' rooms and surrounding areas.
