Corewell Health’s Royal Oak Hospital is seeking a Full Time CNA for the 8NE & NW cardiac step‑down unit. The role supports patient care under RN supervision, with duties including safe patient transport, documentation, and observation responsibilities on the unit.

Requirements include a high school diploma; BLS/CPR and CNA certification are preferred. The unit offers comprehensive benefits, an on‑demand pay option, and retirement plans, with shifts mornings to nights and a 36‑hour weekly

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Previous hospital or nursing home experience preferred
• American Heart Association or American Red Cross Basic Life Support required
• Current CNA certification preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide care to patients according to the plan of care, unit routine and hospital policy under the direction of a Registered Nurse.
• Safely transport patients via wheelchair or stretcher.
• Provide dispatch services and appropriate documentation of services.
• Serve as an Observer for patients requiring constant observation, in person or via remote video monitoring.
• Performs general receptionist and clerical duties to facilitate unit functioning.
• Document care provided in the electronic medical record.
