Job summary

McLaren Health Care in Michigan is seeking a Nurse Assistant for the 3 South Cardiac Step Down unit. Under the direct supervision of a nurse, you will deliver patient-centered care and support daily activities.

Responsibilities include performing delegated care tasks, assisting with hygiene, and ensuring infection control and safety policies are followed. Must have a high school diploma or equivalent, at least 6 months of related experience, and BLS certification from AHA/ARC or Canadian

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Six (6) month of job-related experience and/or training.
• BLS certification from American Heart Association (AHA), American Red Cross (ARC), or Canadian equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Performs specific patient care interventions as delegated by the RN in effort to identify/attain treatment goals.
• Delivers compassionate support, attention, and assistance to patients and families.
• Provides physical support for patients with daily activities and personal hygiene, including bathing, showering, feeding, dressing, getting out of bed, using the toilet, walking, standing or exercising.
• Ensures compliance with all health care regulations, including HIPAA and OSHA.
• Maintains safe and clean working environment and protects patients and employees by adhering to infection-control, hazardous waste and other policies and protocols.
• Performs other related job duties as requested.

Education

High school diploma or equivalent
