Job summary

McLaren Health Care is seeking a Registered Nurse to join the Cardiac Specialty Unit. The RN will deliver quality nursing care using the nursing process, collaborate with the care team, and uphold professional standards.

Responsibilities include assessing patient needs, planning care, intervening as needed, evaluating responses, and maintaining patient safety. Required: Michigan RN license, BLS, ACLS by unit orientation, NRP by orientation for certain units; preferred BSN and specialty

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Nursing Program.
• Current State of Michigan Registered Nurse license.
• BLS certification (American Heart Association/ARC/Canadian equivalent) required before start date and valid 60 days beyond.
• ACLS required by end of unit orientation for multiple units.
• NRP certification required by end of unit orientation for FBC.

Responsibilities

• Assesses the physical, psychosocial, and educational needs of the patient.
• Plans and implements nursing care according to patient and family needs.
• Makes appropriate interventions based on individual patient needs.
• Evaluates patient responses to nursing interventions.
• Maintains safe environment for patients, families, and staff.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
