Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Graduate of Cardiac Sonography or Echo program RDCS or RCS within 12 months of start date.
• Current CPR certification (AHA or Red Cross).

Responsibilities

• Under general supervision, obtain two-dimensional ultrasonic images of the heart (2D echocardiograms, 2D Doppler, and stress echo) and assist physicians with transesophageal echocardiograms.
• Obtain pertinent patient data for interpretation by a board-certified cardiologist and explain testing purpose/duration to patients to ensure comfort and understanding.
• Precept Echocardiography students and handle cases involving complex health issues while delivering excellent customer service.
