Job summary

Northside Hospital is seeking a skilled Echocardiography Technologist to perform 2-D, M-mode, color flow mapping and Doppler studies for adults and geriatric patients. The role emphasizes adherence to IAC performance-improvement standards and quality care across our cardiac ultrasound services.

Required credentials in echocardiography (e.g., RDCS/ARDMS, RCS/RCCS, CRCS or ACS) and American Heart Association BLS certification.

• Credential in echocardiography is required.

Responsibilities

• Performs 2-D, M-mode, color flow mapping and cardiac Doppler echocardiography tests on the adult and geriatric patient population.
• Maintains performance improvement documentation in cardiac and ultrasound in accordance with IAC.

Performs 2-D, M-mode, color flow mapping and cardiac Doppler echocardiography tests on the adult and geriatric patient population. Responsible for maintaining performance improvement documentation in cardiac and ultrasound in accordance with IAC.

REQUIRED

1. An appropriate credential in echocardiography

• Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) from American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS)
• Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) or Registered Congenital Cardiac Sonographer (RCCS) from Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI)
• Canadian Registered Cardiac Sonographer (CRCS), Sonography Canada
• Advanced Cardiac Sonographer (ACS) from Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI)

1. Must hold American Heart Association Basic Life Support certification

PREFERRED

1. Membership in professional society or societies related to the field of sonography.
2. Graduate of an accredited sonography or cardiovascular technology program.
