Job summary

Northside Hospital in Atlanta area seeks a skilled cardiac sonographer to perform 2-D, M-mode, color flow mapping and Doppler echocardiography for adult and geriatric patients in a busy imaging program.

The role requires RDCS, RCS/RCCS, CRCS, ACS credentials and BLS certification, with emphasis on maintaining performance improvement documentation per IAC standards.

Candidates with professional society membership or accreditation from an approved program are preferred.

Qualifications

• RDCS credential from ARDMS is required.
• RCS or RCCS from CCI is required.
• CRCS from Sonography Canada is required.
• ACS from CCI is required.
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Performs 2-D, M-mode, color flow mapping and cardiac Doppler echocardiography tests on the adult and geriatric patient population.
• Maintains performance improvement documentation in cardiac and ultrasound in accordance with IAC.

Qualifications

REQUIRED

• An appropriate credential in echocardiography:
• Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) from American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS)
• Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) or Registered Congenital Cardiac Sonographer (RCCS) from Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI)
• Canadian Registered Cardiac Sonographer (CRCS), Sonography Canada
• Advanced Cardiac Sonographer (ACS) from Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI)
• Must hold American Heart Association Basic Life Support certification

PREFERRED

• Membership in professional society or societies related to the field of sonography.
• Graduate of an accredited sonography or cardiovascular technology program.
