Job summary

Northside Hospital in the Atlanta area seeks a skilled echocardiography professional to perform 2-D, M-mode, color flow, and Doppler studies on adult and geriatric patients. You will operate advanced imaging equipment and ensure high-quality data for diagnosis.

The role requires ARDMS/CCI credentials and BLS, with a focus on adherence to IAC standards and ongoing credentialing, while contributing to a collaborative cardiovascular service team.

Qualifications

• Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) credentialed by ARDMS.
• RCS or RCCS credential from CCI is required or certification.
• CRCS (Sonography Canada) credential is required.
• ACS (CCI) credential is required.
• Must hold American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Responsibilities

• Performs 2-D, M-mode, color flow mapping and cardiac Doppler echocardiography tests on adult and geriatric patients.
• Maintains performance improvement documentation in cardiac and ultrasound per IAC standards.

Performs 2-D, M-mode, color flow mapping and cardiac Doppler echocardiography tests on the adult and geriatric patient population. Responsible for maintaining performance improvement documentation in cardiac and ultrasound in accordance with IAC.

Required

• An appropriate credential in echocardiography:
• Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) from American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS)
• Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) or Registered Congenital Cardiac Sonographer (RCCS) from Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI)
• Canadian Registered Cardiac Sonographer (CRCS), Sonography Canada
• Advanced Cardiac Sonographer (ACS) from Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI)
• Must hold American Heart Association Basic Life Support certification

Preferred

• Membership in professional society or societies related to the field of sonography.
• Graduate of an accredited sonography or cardiovascular technology program.
