Job description

Description

Cardiac Sonographer – Echocardiology (PRN)

PeaceHealth Sacred Heart Medical Center at RiverBend |Springfield, OR

Per Diem/Relief | Days

$47.24 – $70.56/hr + 15% differential in lieu of benefits

Flexibility Shouldn't Mean Settling for Less

Some PRN positions ask you to give up the challenging cases, professional growth, and sense of purpose that drew you to healthcare in the first place.

This isn't one of them.

At PeaceHealth Sacred Heart Medical Center at RiverBend, you'll perform echocardiography within the Oregon Heart & Vascular Institute, one of the Pacific Northwest's leading cardiovascular programs. Patients arrive from throughout Lane County and southern Oregon seeking advanced heart and vascular care.

Your day may include evaluating a patient with advanced heart failure, supporting care for someone recovering from cardiac surgery, assisting in the workup of structural heart disease, or helping provide critical information that guides treatment decisions.

These are the kinds of studies that keep experienced sonographers engaged.

The expectation here isn't simply to complete an exam and move on. Your knowledge, judgment, and attention to detail play an important role in helping uncover the answers clinicians need.

And because this is a per diem opportunity, you have something many healthcare professionals are searching for: flexibility.

You can continue working in a sophisticated cardiovascular environment while creating more space for family, travel, hobbies, semi-retirement, consulting work, school, or simply life outside the hospital.

At PeaceHealth, a person-first, values-driven, highly trusted healthcare organization, we believe caregivers perform their best when they feel supported and valued. Caring for caregivers is part of caring for patients, and that commitment extends to every member of our team, including those working in flexible roles.

  • Continue caring for complex cardiac patients without the demands of a traditional full-time commitment.
  • Earn the same base hourly rate as benefited positions, plus an additional 15% differential in lieu of benefits.
  • Stay connected to a respected healthcare organization that values and supports its caregivers.

Why You'll Love Living Here

Springfield makes it easy to enjoy your time away from work.

The McKenzie and Willamette Rivers are nearby. Mountain trails, cycling paths, local wineries, restaurants, and outdoor recreation are all within easy reach. It's the kind of community where work supports life, rather than becoming all of it.

For PRN caregivers who value flexibility, it's an ideal setting to create the balance that's right for you.

Required Credentials
  • RDCS or RCS required
  • Registered with OBMI required
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) required upon hire

Maybe you're not looking for another full-time commitment. Maybe you're looking for the freedom to choose when you work while continuing to do the kind of cardiac imaging that reminds you why you became a sonographer in the first place.
