Job summary

Wesley Medical Center in Wichita, KS is seeking a Cardiac Sonographer (PRN) to perform various echocardiograms for the cardiac patient population and maintain equipment records. You will troubleshoot ultrasound systems and operate high-level disinfecting procedures for TEE probes per manufacturer guidance.

The role includes documenting equipment usage and performing occasional clerical tasks to support the department’s workflow.

Qualifications

• Current registry or registry eligible by ARDMS or CCI, registered within 3 months of hire.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) verification.
• Graduate of an accredited Echocardiography program.
• RDCS and/or RCS certification.

Responsibilities

• Performs echocardiograms for cardiac patients.
• Maintains and troubleshoots ultrasound equipment.
• Operates high-level disinfecting TEE probe cleaners per manufacturer guidance.
• Documents and maintains accountability of all ultrasound equipment.
• Performs clerical duties for the department.

What qualifications you will need for this role

• Current registry or registry eligible by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers or by Cardiovascular Credentialing International. Must be registered within 3 months of hire date
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) verification course, as specified in policy
• Graduate of an accredited school of Echocardiographic Study
• (RDCS) Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer
• Associate Degree
• (RCS) Registered Cardiac Sonographer
