Job summary

Lone Peak Hospital is seeking a PRN Echo/Vascular Tech to join a family-like team focused on patient-centered care. You will perform cardiac ultrasound procedures across inpatient, outpatient, and intraoperative settings, ensuring accurate diagnostic information for physicians.

Qualifications include BLS or RDCS/RCS within 7 days of start date and an associate or higher degree or certificate. A supportive environment and comprehensive benefits accompany this role.

Qualifications

• Certified Echo/vascular tech with ARDS/RDCS or RDCS/ RCS preferred and must obtain BLS within 7 days of start date.
• Associate/Bachelor's degree or certificate required.
• Experience in performing transthoracic, stress, transesophageal echocardiography is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform cardiac ultrasound procedures (echocardiography) in inpatient, outpatient, or intraoperative settings.
• Provide physicians with complete anatomical and functional diagnostic information.
• Prepare patients for procedures and correlate history with tests ordered by physicians.
• Follow infection control policies and use PPE to minimize transmission risks.
• Utilize diverse ultrasound techniques and equipment per clinical standards and hospital protocols.
• May assist with other cardiology diagnostic tasks within a teamwork environment.

Job Summary And Qualifications

As an Echo/Vascular Tech, you will work with a team that considers themselves a family where each member works hard to support each other. We are looking for someone who feels patient care is as meaningful as we do. In this role:

• You will, under the direction of the Manager, be responsible for performing cardiac ultrasound (echocardiography) procedures such as transthoracic, stress, transesophageal, intra-operative echocardiograms within the inpatient, outpatient, or intraoperative settings.
• You will provide physicians with complete, accurate anatomical and functional diagnostic information.
• You will accurately prepare patients for procedures and correlate patient history with all tests that have been ordered by physicians.
• You will follow established surveillance, prevention and control of infection policies and procedures to identify and reduce the risks of acquiring or transmitting infection by use of personal protective measures.
• You will expertly perform all ultrasound procedures in assigned specialty service areas utilizing a variety of equipment and techniques in accordance with established clinical practice standards, hospital guidelines and protocols.
• You will, with proper training and knowledge of other functions within the cardiology services, may perform other duties related to clinical diagnostic testing and/or operational tasks that manifest a teamwork environment.

What qualifications you will need:

• Basic Cardiac Life Support, or (RDCS) Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer, or (RCS) Registered Cardiac Sonographer must be obtained within 7 days of employment start date
• Associate Degree, or Bachelors Degree, or Certificate
