Job summary

Lone Peak Hospital in Draper, UT, seeks a Paramedic PRN to support clinical staff and patients across shifts within the HCA Healthcare network.

The role requires State paramedic certification, ACLS/BLS/NRP/PALS within specified timeframes, and 2 years of experience. Responsibilities include IV starts, phlebotomy, EKGs, Foley insertion, and patient transporter duties.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Inform RN staff of a patient’s chief complaint and symptoms to aid initial assessment.
  • Assist RN and Physicians with patient and family education.
  • Champion infection surveillance and control following PPE policies.
  • Demonstrate competency with delegated nursing tasks and equipment operation.
  • Perform IV starts, phlebotomy, EKGs, Foley insertion, and transporter duties.

Job Summary And Qualifications
  • You will have the ability to quickly and skillfully inform the RN staff of a patient’s chief complaint and the symptoms they are presenting to help them make an informed initial assessment.
  • You will assist the RN and Physicians with providing education to the patient and family
  • You will be a champion of surveillance, prevention and control of Infection: Follows established policies and procedures to identify and reduce the risks of acquiring or transmitting infection by the use of personal protective measures.
  • You will demonstrate the appropriate knowledge and skill with all technical aspects of job, including performance of delegated nursing tasks and equipment operation.
  • You will display competency to perform IV starts, phlebotomy, EKGs, orthopedic skills, Foley insertion, all transporter duties
What qualifications you will need:
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Spt must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
  • Neonate Resuscitate must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date
  • Nonviolent Crisis Intervention must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date
  • PALS Pediatric Adv Life Supt must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date
  • Paramedic
