Job summary

Cape Fear Valley Medical Center in Fayetteville, NC is seeking a Cardiac Sonography professional to perform echocardiography, ECGs, and treadmill stress tests per department guidelines. You will document findings, schedule procedures, and ensure accurate charting within the BCX system.

The ideal candidate has 1 year of cardiac sonography experience and current credentialing by CCI or ARDMS, with the ability to handle multiple tasks and monitor patients in a dynamic clinical setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Cardiac Sonography credential (CCI or ARDMS) is required.
• At least 1 year of cardiac sonography experience; 1 year of other cardiac diagnostic experience preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and current cardiopulmonary modalities.
• Ability to react calmly in stressful situations and when dealing with patients and staff.

Responsibilities

• Performs cardiac sonography, electrocardiography, and treadmill stress test per departmental guidelines.
• Performs diagnostic procedures per department guidelines.
• Assesses patient condition and evaluates cardiac diagnostics to support appropriate recommendations.
• Initiates and maintains monitoring equipment.
• Files paperwork and schedules department appointments; charges for services using BCX system.
• Other duties as assigned.
