Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Credentialing by CCI or ARDMS in Cardiac Sonography is required.
• 1 year of cardiac sonography experience is required.
• 1 year of other cardiac diagnostic experience preferred.
• Understanding medical terminology and current cardiopulmonary modalities.
• Ability to stay calm and focused in stressful situations.

Responsibilities

• Performs cardiac sonography, electrocardiography, and treadmill stress tests per departmental guidelines.
• Performs diagnostic procedures per department guidelines.
• Assesses patient condition and evaluates cardiac diagnostics to make recommendations when needed.
• Initiates and maintains monitoring equipment.
• Files paperwork and schedules appointments for the department as needed.
• Knowledgeable in equipment and treatment modalities for patients of all ages.
• Charges for all services provided inclusive of use of BCX system.
