Expected pay for this position is $39.13 - $51.21/hour. Actual pay will be determined by experience, skills, and internal equity. This is an hourly position.

Position Summary

The Cardiac Sonographer II performs and records echocardiology diagnostic tests independently, following established policies and procedures, in one patient population (Adult, Pediatric, Fetal). The role involves obtaining information about normal and abnormal anatomy to assist in diagnosis, ensuring high-quality exams, and recording results. The candidate must demonstrate the skills necessary to provide appropriate patient care across different age groups.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

Education: Associate in allied health related to patient care or a bachelor's degree (any major), or completion of an accredited Sonographer Program.

Experience: 1 year in transthoracic echocardiology.

Licenses/Certifications: BLS certification from the American Heart Association; Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonography (ARDMS) or Registered Cardiac Sonographer (CCI) in one patient population (Adult, Pediatrics, Fetal).

Skills/Knowledge: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; strong analytical and problem-solving skills; knowledge of echocardiology techniques; ability to recognize abnormalities, adjust equipment, and identify irregularities during ultrasound; understanding of growth and development principles relevant to patient needs.

Preferred Qualifications:

Education: Associate's degree in applied science in Diagnostic Services.
