Job summary

UNC Rex Healthcare in Raleigh, NC, seeks a Cardiac Sonographer to perform high-quality transthoracic and transesophageal echo, vasculature studies, and stress imaging. The role includes post-procedure care, image analysis, and providing preliminary reports to the interpreting Cardiologist.

Ideal candidates hold an accredited sonography degree, ARDMS/CCI registry or eligibility, and at least 1 year of acute hospital experience. RDCS/RCS is preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year experience in acute hospital setting.

Responsibilities

• Delivers pre-procedure and post-procedure patient care, including CPR.
• Ensures equipment calibration and maintenance; records QA monitoring.
• Generates and analyzes cardiac ultrasound images; prepares preliminary reports for Cardiologist.
• Performs vascular studies and real-time readings in OR for vascular procedures.
• Performs NICU and pediatric studies; may train staff and serve as SME.
