Job summary

Northwestern Medicine in Chicago is seeking a Cardiac Sonographer to perform echocardiography procedures, including M-mode, two-dimensional, Doppler blood flow studies, Exercise and Dobutamine Stress tests, 3D echocardiography, and chamber measurements, under cardiology protocols.

You will ensure timely exams, coordinate with physicians and staff to keep schedules on track, and develop proficiency across imaging techniques while contributing to patient-focused care.

Qualifications

• Registered Cardiac Sonographer or Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer required.
• CPR–Cardiac Life Support certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Learns and applies echocardiography techniques per protocols.
• Maintains timely procedures to support the daily schedule.
• Coordinates with referring physicians, staff, and nursing units for smooth workflow.
• Gains proficiency in M-mode, 2D, Doppler, 3D echo and Stress Echoes.
